In two recent pharmacist malpractice cases, the plaintiffs attempted to hold the defendant pharmacies liable by blurring the distinction between medicine and pharmacy. The result in both cases confirms that, even as pharmacy expands into new areas of patient care, the role of pharmacists continues to be different from the role of physicians.
